About the artist

Dawn is a Farmer's wife and shepherd who lives and works on a farm on the Dorset coast. After collecting and being fascinated by pieces of driftwood for years she finally has time to turn her collection into this intricate and imaginative art. The driftwood is collected from Chesil Beach and other local beaches where she can be found wandering with a bag and her dog 'Lottie'. The driftwood is dries in the sun in the Summer and by the Aga during the Winter when the storms throw up some exciting finds.

Each piece of work is unique as the shape and size of the wood depicts the nature of the piece whether a harbour, seaside or quaint coastal village scene. Collections of old rusty nails, washers, screws and any interesting oddities are store in drawers in a beach hut studio in her garden all waiting to be used by her imagination and creativity to embellish her beautiful Dorset-inspired coastal artwork.

Dawn's artworks have literally been flying 'off the plinths', so make haste and contact us for your very own unique piece!
